Euthanasia and End of Life Decision-Making:  Guidance from the Catholic Tradition

Enjoy a free lunch and seminar-style conversation with Prof. Bill Mattison, professor of Moral Theology at the University of Notre Dame and the Senior Advisor of Theological Formation for the Alliance for Catholic Education. Sponsored by the McGrath Institute for Church Life.

Professor Mattison completed his doctoral studies at the University of Notre Dame.  His expertise is in Catholic moral theology, with a focus on St. Thomas Aquinas and virtue.  He wrote Introducing Moral Theology:  True Happiness and the Virtues (Brazos, 2008), likely the most commonly used text for Catholic college and university courses in moral theology.  His most recent book is entitled The Sermon on the Mount and Moral Theology:  a Virtue Perspective (Cambridge, 2017).  He is currently completing a book on habit and grace rooted in the thought of Thomas Aquinas.
