Peace is always Possible: Reflections from Proven Peacemakers

This roundtable discussion is presented by the members of the Community of Sant'Egidio  who, for nearly 50 years,  have responded to the needs of their cities and the world through prayer, friendship with the poor, and the promotion of peace through dialogue. This 6th -13th September 2015, the Community of Sant’Egidio and the University of Notre Dame invite you to join them for moments of prayer and dialogue, as they seek to cultivate mercy in the heart of the city of South Bend and let friendship grow in place of animosity and indifference. ​Throughout the week, there will be roundtables on issues including the death penalty, the environment, and international solidarity, with two special plenary sessions on peace:
