The Take a Second Look program continues to grow in popularity among students and professors across Notre Dame’s campus. Initially developed by Fr. Kevin Grove, C.S.C., Anthony Pagliarini, Ph.D., of the Department of Theology, and Joshua McManaway, Ph.D., of the McGrath Institute, the program is intended to persuasively engage and encourage students to “take a second look” at the beauty and profundity of the Catholic faith that they thought they had left behind, outgrown, or had never considered relevant to their lives in the first place.

In an age of disaffiliation, the goal is to accompany Notre Dame students through this time of questioning and growth to a deeper understanding that will help them live out their faith over a lifetime. With more professors coming on board each semester, including Bill Mattison, Ph.D., of the Department of Theology, the program is now reaching close to 1,000 students a year.
