Human Dignity Lecture

The Notre Dame Office of Life and Human Dignity hosts an annual lecture inviting a prominent figure to campus to speak on a topic pertinent to the conversation on human dignity. 

Past lectures have featured the following:

  • Sr. Prudence Allen, R.S.M., a Catholic philosopher whose work focuses on the philosophical concept of womanhood

  • Gustavo Gutierrez, O.P. John Cardinal O'Hara Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame

  • Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

  • Chen Guangcheng, Dissident Lawyer and Civil Rights Activist

Rosary for Life

Rosary for Life 2020: Join the McGrath Institute for Church Life on Respect Life Month for a virtual rosary at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, offered for a greater love and respect for each human person from conception to natural death. This virtual event is co-sponsored by the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association and Notre Dame Right to Life.
