What attracted you to Echo and helped you decide to join the program?
I was initially attracted to the fact that I would both get a graduate degree and teaching experience since I wasn't sure if I wanted to further my studies or try high school teaching.  Echo gave me the opportunity for both. However, it was the communal element that sold me. I got to interact with some graduates of the Echo program, and watching them was inspiring. I was impressed by the type of people they had become and how their communities greatly shaped who they are.  My experience with them drew me to the Echo program because I wanted to be like them.
