How to Participate
The McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame invites select bishops to nominate one priest from his diocese who, in the bishop’s judgment, has rendered good and faithful service to the Church and who might both benefit from and enjoy this opportunity.
A nominated priest should fulfill these three criteria:
-
Is ordained a minimum of 10 years
-
Lives and works in a parish
-
Is a diocesan priest
The ideal nominee is a leader in his diocese, as we hope that the program will not only benefit those priests in attendance, but may also spark ideas for priestly renewal opportunities in their own dioceses. After all, the aim of the McGrath Institute for Church Life is always to build up, and never to replace, the local Church.
We ask to receive your priest nomination no later than January 8, so that we can offer the place to another participant should you decide not to nominate a priest.
