Kevin Hayes, AIA, is the President and Founder of Hayes Design Group – Architects in Pittsburgh, PA which specializes in K-12 Schools along with University and Commercial work. Kevin has been an active Catholic his entire life, attending Catholic grade school and high school, and then graduating from Notre Dame in 1983. He has been a member of Parish Council, lector, eucharistic minister, liturgical musician, youth retreat team member, and parish retreat promoter. 

Kevin has been involved in many community and non-profit activities.  He was Social Concerns Coordinator for the Notre Dame Club of Pittsburgh for 25 years, and continues to help coordinate Urban Plunges and Summer Service Learning projects.  He was also a co-founder of Pittsburgh Habitat for Humanity and served as its first president. Kevin has been on advisory boards for the Center for Social Concerns at Notre Dame, Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh, Holy Family Institute, and the Crossroads Foundation. Crossroads is a full-service support program for inner city students to attend Catholic high schools. Currently, he is chair of Catholics for Change in Our Church, a group of over 1,100 members formed in the wake of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Report on Sexual Abuse of Children by Catholic Clergy in August, 2018 to advocate for positive changes in our Church. He is married to Maureen Kelly, a federal judge and alumnus of Notre Dame. They have two sons, Connor and Kevin, both graduates of Notre Dame as well.
