MLLP FAQs

What is included in the Mathis Liturgical Leadership Program?

The MLLP is a completely funded program. There are no registration fees for cohort members.

Travel, lodging, and meals for all in-person events will be provided by the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy. Cohort members will work with the NDCL staff to arrange travel in a timely fashion, and will only be responsible for any personal expenses incurred outside of the itinerary set by the NDCL (e.g., food and/or beverages outside of scheduled meals, souvenirs, etc.).

Access to all online courses and any required reading materials will also be provided by the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy. Cohort members will be personally and financially responsible for procuring any additional materials they deem necessary to complete their coursework (e.g., supplemental books/articles, notebooks, etc.).

Who can be considered for the Mathis Liturgical Leadership Program?

The Mathis Liturgical Leadership Program is aimed at the education and formation of leaders serving the Catholic Church. We consider a leader to be anyone tasked with the education and/or formation of the faithful in the teachings and practices of Catholicism. This includes lay persons as well as clergy and religious, full/part-time diocesan and parish ministers, Catholic school educators and administrators, etc.

Are the dates for the Mathis Liturgical Leadership Program finalized?

The dates listed on the two-year schedule—including both the in-person events and virtual modules—are tentative. While the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy will make every effort to abide by the posted schedule, we also reserve the right to adjust certain dates should extenuating circumstances beyond our control require us to do so.

Any scheduling adjustments that may prove necessary will be made in conversation with cohort members and with significant advance notice.
