Descripción
Al centro de la experiencia católica está el Misterio de Dios revelado en el transcurso de la historia, especialmente por medio de Jesucristo. En el Credo nos encontramos de manera directa y concisa con las convicciones centrales sobre el Dios trinitario: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo, las cuales nos identifican como cristianos. Como fórmula de fe, el Credo resume lo que creemos. Pero más que una fórmula, el Credo es el testimonio de fe de la comunidad cristiana a través de los siglos. En este curso exploramos la belleza y profundidad del Credo, resaltando su importancia para la práctica del discipulado cristiano. El curso es ante todo una introducción a la vida cristiana meditando profundamente sobre el misterio de Dios. Los participantes siguen de cerca la presentación sobre el Credo en el Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica mientras realizan conexiones prácticas que conduzcan al fortalecimiento de su espiritualidad en la vida diaria.

Dr. Hosffman Ospino
El Dr. Hosffman Ospino es profesor de teología y educación religiosa en la Escuela de Teología y Ministerio de Boston College. Su investigación se concentra en el impacto de la conversación entre la fe y la cultura en las prácticas educativas y pastorales en la Iglesia. Él es editor del libro El ministerio hispano en el siglo XXI (Convivium Press, 2010). De su autoría son El catecismo de Pedro: ¿Quién Dices Que Soy Yo? ¿Por Qué Dudas? ¿Me Amas? (Liguori, 2011) y Evangelización y catequesis en el ministerio hispano: Guía para la formación en la fe (Liguori, 2013). Actualmente está escribiendo dos libros sobre parroquias multiculturales. El Dr. Ospino sirvió como el investigador principal del Estudio Nacional de Parroquias Católicas con Ministerio Hispano (2011-2013), cuyos resultados han sido diseminados en varias publicaciones. Con frecuencia se dirige a audiencias académicas y pastorales tanto a nivel nacional e internacional.

Course Description
At the heart of Catholic experience is the mystery of God revealed in history, especially through the person of Jesus Christ. We encounter in the Creed, directly and concisely stated, central convictions about the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, which mark us as Cristians. As a formula of faith, the Creed summarizes what we believe. But more than a formula, the Creed is the witness of faith of the Christian community through the ages. In this course we explore the beauty and depth of the Creed, highlighting its importance for the practice of Christian discipleship. The course is above all an introduction to the Christian life meditating profoundly on the mystery of God. Participants will closely follow the presentation of the Creed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, while making practical connections to strengthen their spirituality in daily life.

Dr. Hosffman Ospino
Dr. Hosffman Ospino is a professor of theology and religious education in the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College. His research focuses on the impact of the conversation between faith and culture in the educational and pastoral practices in the Church. He is the editor of Hispanic Ministry in the 21st Century (Convivium Press, 2010), and the author of El catecismo de Pedro: ¿Quién Dices Que Soy Yo? ¿Por Qué Dudas? ¿Me Amas? (Liguori, 2011) and Evangelización y catequesis en el ministerio hispano: Guía para la formación en la fe (Liguori, 2013). He is currently working on two books about multicultural parishes. Dr. Ospino served as principal investigator for the National Study of Catholic Parishes with Hispanic Ministry (2011-2013), the results of which have been disseminated in various publications. He frequently addresses academic and pastoral audiences, both nationally and internationally.
