Geoff oversees the intellectual formation of the Echo program, working as a liaison with Notre Dame’s Theology Department to assist Echo students as they navigate their coursework for the M.A. in Theology degree program. He also works to support and underlie Echo programming with theological content, seeking to integrate human and spiritual formation with those themes which students have encountered throughout their studies. Finally, Geoff provides ongoing support to current Echo participants, and in particular, he oversees the majority of the Echo Theology Teacher (ETT) students.

Growing up, Geoff spent long stints in Phoenix, Arizona and South Bend, Indiana. In 2015, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Theology from Notre Dame, and after graduating, he spent 2 years serving the Catholic Church in Dublin, Ireland through a ministry program called the House of Brigid. Upon his return stateside, Geoff underwent time in seminary formation with the Congregation of Holy Cross, and upon discerning out, taught theology in high school and middle school contexts. He returned to Notre Dame for his Masters of Theological Studies, which he completed in 2022. He is thrilled to be joining the ranks of the Echo program and the McGrath Institute as of June 2022.

Geoff and his wife Megan, a Notre Dame M.Div alumna, live in South Bend. In his free time, he enjoys reading mystery novels, cooking, running, playing piano, indulging in all things Irish (especially Guinness!), and frequenting South Bend’s restaurant scene.
